lyrics

[Transition to verse 1]
En route through the medium
Messages make their way
But they may become victims
Of interference

[Verse 1]
Immersed fully as I keep with
All the ups and downs of life
But sometimes, seemingly at random
Something changes and I find

[prechorus 1]
A degree of separation
Like watching through a screen
I try to pay attention
Take it all in, but

[chorus]
The colors and the contrast start to fade
The images are distant and delayed
Interference overwhelming every band
The signals are to weak to understand

[verse 2]
Another broken promise from another forgotten

conversation
I know i've said it a thousand times but i'm sorry
It all seems so unimportant
experiencing the separation
The effect on those close to me
makes me worry

[prechorsus 2]
So hard to recall
I hate knowing that I can be
So uncaring and cold
I hate who I become when

[chorus]

[Breakdown 1]
A Curtain of static descends
Cosmic microwave blasts through
Almost unintelligible
Abstracted and reduced

Unrelenting grating, concentration starts to slip
siezing cramps assault my hands, loosen my grip
stabbing in my ears and light burning my eyes
I need to get away withdraw in side my mind

Lost connection to reality
The screen is full, yet so empty
Could it truly be said that we're free
When we lose our ability to see

[Breakdown 2]
The poetry is now just words
The meaning is removed
Lobotomized, We're so desensitized
Humanity is soothed
