in an ornate crystal
vessel Curious shapes unfolding,

Mysteries so utterly captivating,
and beyond breathtaking,
I start to find it irresistible

Grant me conviction and self control
Let my aim be steady and my focus stay true
Curb the distraction of the attraction
to this self destructive black hole

I want so much pour it out,
to feel it coat my fingers
running through,
breaking into streams and drops

To watch it spread over floor,
and see how it behaves
when freed from its container
But its value deters me

Can't afford to waste something so precious
The glass is so fragile
it shouldn't be touched Lest it crack or shatter
